The CERP
The Borough of Queenscliffe’s Climate Emergency Response Plan (CERP)
In December 2019, following a petition of more than 2,000 local residents, our Council declared a climate emergency and developed a response plan in partnership with the community.
The CERP: a partnership
The CERP represents a partnership and is an actionable guide for The Borough of Queenscliffe Council and local residents. The actions in the Plan are reviewed every two years.
It is a whole-of-community approach, including working closely with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, that provides a ten year road map to ensure we meet our ambitious targets.
It is governed by a Community Panel – a randomly selected group of 34 permanent and non-permanent residents – the Borough, and QCAN.
